James holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Loughborough University and a Master’s Degree in ‘Literature, Arts and Mass Media’ specialising in ‘TV, Film and Print’ from the University of Bristol, ranked in the top 30 universities globally.
He was a lecturer at the Victory College of Arts and Media in Sydney and is currently Head Lecturer at the Wentworth Institute of Higher Education in Sydney where he is a member of the Academic Board. He teaches on the Bachelor of Interactive Media course lecturing in the the following units:
- Aesthetics of Screen
- Exploring Media Landscapes
- Constructing Narrative
- Virtual Communities
He also coaches cricket and rugby at one of Sydney’s leading schools, the Scots College, and at the Scots College Preparatory School.
