2019 is upon us and I am busily organising the inaugural Sydney Harbour Concours d’Elegance. Powered by Ferrari, and with the support of the InterContinental Hotel Double Bay, Perrier Jouët Champagne, Martell Cognac, Bentley Motors, St Hugo Wines, D’Marge, and the Royal Automobile Club of Australia, this brand new event will be held at Lindesay, a National Trust Property, on March 7th – 9th.

It should prove to be a stunning affair with 30 of Australia’s finest vehicles gathered on the lawns of Lindesay built in 1834 and boasting spectacular vistas of Sydney and its Harbour. This “ideal marine villa” with its stylised garden typical of its English counterparts provides the ultimate setting for the most beautiful coach-built examples of the motor car that it is possible to curate. Celebrating the centenaries of Italian coachbuilder Zagato, Alvis, Bentley (with the first Bentley ever to run at Le Mans in 1923), whilst also recognising the 60th birthday of the irresistible Mini, the event will showcase an outstanding range of wonderful rare and historic Veteran, Edwardian, Vintage, Classic and Modern Classic automobiles.

There will be plenty of action, a few surprises and several firsts. If you would like to be invited to this exclusive luxury event and its black-tie dinners please contact either myself at james@marinamarini.com.au or Fiona Germaine at fiona@sydneyharbourconcours.com

And just in case you are wondering the Fairy Penguin and the Fur Seal are indigenous to Sydney Harbour!
